Batman: Arkham Asylum finally make his through as the best video game in Batman history. Batman: Arkham Asylum fires on all element that makes the game is great, not just for fun to play but it has fantastic story that any fan of the Batman will loves it. Batman: Arkham Asylum claimed to be the best superhero game ever to launch in consoles. The real hero with ability in combat and his detective skill to destroy the enemy make this game looks great to play. If you are Batfans (Batman Fans) then you should play this game.
The story begin when our hero Batman just captured the arc villain, the Joker, and transit to the titular institution for the criminally insane. But the Joker somehow free from his guards and, with the help of his sidekick Harley Quinn, starting to wreaking mayhem on Arkham, soon the Joker taking control of the Arkham and managed to release another Batman’s worst foes in a effort to stop Batman. Batman must defeat all the foes in order to restore the Arkham and bring down the Joker.
The game get’s all element right, with the freeform combat system make it’s easy to start even for the beginner. It’s like one button to attacks, other button for combos, another for dodging, and another for stun attacks. It is just simple when face multiple enemy, pointing the thumbstick in the direction of foe causes Batman change his attack immediately, and the result is very excellent and stunning and gamers from all experiences would be easily stringing together visceral the combos in no time.
Batman: Arkham Asylum not just action game it’s combined with stealth combat system. Which is some people says,”Batman Arkham stealth combat system ones of the best Batman moment in the game”. USe you grappling hook to get to the ceilings, find away to attack from above. And when the moment is right, you’ll jump and gliding down for a stunning kick and knocking them out. Also there are more stealth movement possibilities likes hanging upside down and snatching them, sneaking up behind to perform silent takedown.
In Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman came with several different gadgets to help his work. Likes Batarang, Bat-Claws and Explosive Gel for open up hidden areas. With the detective skill you will be able to see enemies through walls, visualizing their positions, it is armed or not and even you can see their heartbeat condition, it’s in emotional state or not. Are they camly guarding their post or they scared by your presence, you can find out with activate your detective mode.The detective mode also useful to finding the game’s hidden items. There are many different object and puzzle scattered hidden throughout the game.
If we talk about Batman it’s mean we have to talk about the enemy too. Well, the game does success job to bring them on, likes Joker and Harley Quinn, Bane, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, Scarecrow and many others. All of them has been rendered to fit the game’s overall darker and more mature look. And once again the game success to utilizing each of them to their fullest potential.
Batman: Arkham Asylum run with the Unreal Engine 3, the technology does a more than ample job of handling the game needed. No wonder Batman has a fantastic art direction with lust environment and great character models.The sounds is another awesome element in this game.
The music inspiration is from James Newton-Howard and Hanz Zimmer that work on the Dark Knight. But, inspite of element above, voicework maybe the real winner, Mark Hamill’s as the Joker and Kevin Conroy’s as the Batman, both makes an excellent job.
